Russia’s New Car Is So Bad You Literally Can’t Drive It
Russia isn’t known for its cars. There’s a reason for that — Lada, one of the country’s major auto manufacturers, hasn’t changed their designs much since the Soviet days, and when the country has tried to branch out into other car designs, the results are, well, weird.
Recently, a car reviewer discovered a Lada with an added infotainment screen. While it’s unclear if this is a new design or if this is something that’s been added aftermarket, the installation of the thing is so bad that it literally stops you from putting it in first or third gear. The reviewer was told that, if that posed a problem, he could just bend the gear shift.
Russian problems require Russian solutions!

Russian AvtoVAZ updated the multimedia by creating a large screen, which made it impossible to change gears. The manager told him no worries, just bend the lever a bit. pic.twitter.com/YYnNgOwifG
